You can make your own Cat Litter Bed if you have this 5 kg or a 20 kg bag.
1. Just make a flower bed type of skirting using 3 inch thick bricks laid flat on their faces. It needs to be just 100x50 cm in area.
2. Fill with this granular material which is the Cat Mud.
3. It’s got such a smell that cats are bound to pee and poop on the litter bed.
4. When they pee or poop, what happens? Magic!
5. The granules absorb the moisture and become clotted. All the moisture of the pee gets absorbed into a small ball that results from the granules clotting up. The poop gets completely coated with the granules and the coated surface becomes sealed hard. No smell can escape.
6. You need to add granules every two days to maintain the thickness of the mud bed. You need to throw away the clotted mud after one week and replace with fresh granules.
7. The Rs. 300 that you spend on one bag serves 2 cats for a month. Thus cost of the Sulabh Sauchalay for cats is Rs. 5 per day. That’s less than what a human could pay in a day if he works outdoors beside a Sulabh.
If you feed stray cats outside your house, you can possibly make a litter bed in a narrow passage adjoining your house. Then neighbours will not get offensive smell and lives of the cats would be saved.
