Are Packaged Pet Foods Dangerous?
Stop worrying and start living!
What do astronauts eat in space through months? What do soldiers eat in battle field? Yes, everything is packaged. Does anything remain good without preservatives? So stop worrying about preservatives in pet foods.
Manufacturing Companies doing multi million businesses do not dare to jeopardize their cash cow businesses by using unapproved preservatives. If they get caught at a single instance they are done for. FDA in USA and FSSAI in India make sure of their compliance. Even a single challenge test by any one customer would be disastrous in this era of social media.
Pet Foods are similar to Space Foods.
But if you don’t believe in FSSAI in India, you should stop eating Amul Butter, Kissan Jam and pickles, Maggie Sauces and Noodles. In fact you should stop eating any vegetables, chicken or mutton. You just don’t know what hormones are going into them and then coming into you.
Start believing in reality. See the pets all around you who eat packaged dry food. See the gloss on their coat. Know one thing very clearly. The first sign of health in any animal is visible in their coat and quality of stools.
If you still think home made food is adequate and contains everything that your pet needs, then look at what cats eat as natural food and what dogs scavenge from foods wasted by other animals (Including humans). Of course you must first accept the fact that ALL cats are primarily predators and ALL dogs are primarily scavengers. When you turn them into beloved pets, you snatch the basic predatory and scavenging skills from them. So it’s your duty to provide them with all the various proteins, fats, minerals and vitamins that they were designed to eat from nature.
So start getting ‘live’ rats, cockroaches, lizards, insects, earthworms, snails, bird chicks for your cats. How I know these foods are for them? My free roaming cats bring these as gifts that they think I’ll love to eat.
Start getting body parts all of the above organisms in dead or half rotting condition for your dog. Well, that’s what my free roaming dogs collect and bring to my doorstep very often, but they don’t eat it. They’ve become used to what I serve. That’s because dogs get trained easily and cats can’t stop being predators
