Description
Nobivac R Rabies Vaccine, a 10ml, multi-dose vial product, is a veterinary vaccine for active immunization against the rabies virus in various animal species.
1. Composition
Inactivated Rabies Virus, Strain Pasteur: = 2 I.U.
Aluminumphosphate: Adjuvant to enhance immune response.
Thiomersal and Gentamicin: Preservatives for vaccine stability and potency.
2. Uses and benefits
Broad Spectrum Protection: Effective in dogs, cats, cattle, sheep, goats, horses, ferrets, and foxes.
Long-lasting Immunity: Provides at least 3 years of protection in dogs, cats, and ferrets, and 2 years in other species listed.
Prophylactic and Post-exposure Use: Can be used for pre-exposure immunization and post-bite therapy.
3. Administration and dosage
Dosage: 1 ml per animal, administered either subcutaneously or intramuscularly.
Primary Vaccination:
Dogs, cats, and ferrets: After 3 months of age.
Cattle, horses, sheep & goats: After 6 months of age.
Revaccination:
Dogs, cats, and ferrets: 3 years after the initial vaccination.
Cattle, horses, sheep & goats: 2 years after the initial vaccination.
Ferrets: 1 year after the initial vaccination.
Post-Bite Treatment: Repeated single doses should be administered based on the veterinarian’s instructions.
4. Precautions
Store between 2-8?C (35?-46?F), avoid freezing.
Use the entire contents immediately upon opening.
Do not mix with other products.
In case of adverse reactions, seek veterinary assistance immediately.
Consult a veterinarian before use, especially for pregnant animals or animals with existing health conditions.
5. Potential side effects
Common: Mild fever, mild loss of appetite, mild to moderate loss of energy, soreness, and mild swelling at the injection site.
Rare: Hives, vomiting, diarrhea, swollen face/muzzle/eyes, severe injection site pain/swelling, cough, collapse, or fainting.
