PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
SELAMEC is an effective broad spectrum endectocide intended for topical application for dogs and cats. SELAMEC is a ready to use solution containing Selamectin (semi-synthetic avermectin), available in 12% (120 mg/ml) solution. SELAMEC is a single dose tube of Selamectin and is colour-coded depending on the presentations/ (0.5, 1ml).

INDICATIONS:
SELAMEC is recommended for topical use in:
dogs (6 weeks of age or older) and
Large cats (8 weeks of age and older).

It helps to treat and prevent various parasitic infestations:

Dogs:
-Diroflaria immitis (Pre cardiac stage),
-Flea at all stages (Ctenocephalides felis).
-Ear mite (Otodectes cynotis).
-Sarcoptic mange (Sarcoptes scabiel),
-Canine chewing louse (Trichodectes spp.
-Vector for dog tape worm Dipylidium caninum),
-Round worms (Toxocara canis) and
-Tick infestations (Dermacentor variabilis).

Cats:
-Prevention and control of flea infestations (Clenocephalides feis),
-Heartworm disease (Droflariaimmis|,
-Ear mite (Otodectes cynotis),
-Hook worms (Anchylostoma tubaeforme),
-Round worms (Toxocara cat),
-Chewing louse (Felicola subrostratus).

DOSAGE:
For best effects, apply SELAMEC topically at recommended dose and interval. The recommended minimum dose is 6 mg/ kg of body weight. That’s 0.05 ml per kg of body weight. To be remembered that the 1 ml tube contains 120 mg of Selamectin.

ADMINISTRATION:
Part the hair on the nape of the pets neck and apply the contents directly onto the skin in one spot For bigger breeds of pets apply at multiple spots along their back.

Do not bathe your pet and wait for 48 hours for complete absorption. Also do not apply when the hair coat is wet.

PRECAUTIONS:
Keep the pet calm before and after applcation in a well ventilated place
Monitor your pet, prevent them from licking and rubbing to ensure complete absorption.

Avoid using SELAMEC for sick pets and pets below advised age. Contact veterinarian for symptomatic treatment in case of toxicity Wear personal protecive covering while applying and wash your hands when done.

For ticks and heart worm treatment apply SELAMEC once a month
For fleas and toxocara infections, apply SELAMEC 10 and 40 days before and after whelping/ kittening to prevent trans-placental and lactogenic transmission.

SAFETY:
SELAMEC is safe for dogs above 6 weeks and Cats above 8 weeks of age adult dogs and cats, pregnant and lactating bitches /queen and can be used in ivermectin sensitive colie breed of dog when applied as recommended. Selamectin is toxic to fishes and other aquatic invertebrates.

TOXICITY: Some of the toxic signs exhibited by pet are sporadic and transitory salivation, loss of appetite, vomiting, lose stool in dogs and localized loss of hair in cats. In case of accidental ingestion or excessive licking by your pet contact veterinarian for symptomatic treatment.
