Ingredients & Composition:

Each uncoated tablet contains Acepromazine maleate IP Vet 25 mg

Excipients q.s.

Acepromazine is FDA approved veterinary sedative and tranquilizer medication. Launched for 1st time in the Indian market.

Indication / Usage:

-To Control excited animals during Vet visits, Grooming, Treatment

-To Control vomiting associated with motion sickness during road, rail, or air travel.

Dosage/ Administration / Feeding Directions:

In Dogs: 1.25 to 5 mg per kg body weight

In Cats: 2.5 mg per kg body weight.

The dose can be modified as directed by the veterinarian according to use like premedication, sedation, restraint, anxiety or when being used in combination with other sedatives/drugs.

Onset of action: 30 minutes to one hour. For best and fastest effect, feed in crushed to powder for in empty stomach.

Overdosage / Side effects / Contraindications /Warnings:

Acepromazine is contraindicated in dogs and cats suffering from shock, trauma or cardiovascular diseases. Contraindicated for use in case of liver diseases and pets younger than 3 months. Boxer breed of dogs is sensitive for side effects.

Special guideline from our Vet Doctor:

The drug works well with normal dogs which will not come near us. For such dogs, use 1.25 mg/kg body weight. For hyperactive and sensitive pets you have to give a maximum dose of 2.5 mg/kg body weight.

For senior dogs, better give in minimum dose range. Also giving the tablet after powdering gives instant sedation rather than giving the tablet without breaking. Simply if you want excellent sedation, give in empty stomach as powdered form.
