Description

Using Ridd:-Description / Action:
Ridd solution contains Amitraz which is a drug of choice for canine demodicosis. Ridd 12.5% liquid is a potent miticide effective against both sacroptic and demodectic mange in dogs, cats and large animals.
The active ingredient in Ridd is Amitraz, a miticide and insecticide. Amitraz affects the parasite’s nervous system, leading to paralysis and eventual death. The solution’s carrier formula enhances its penetration, ensuring effective results. Ridd targets various life stages of the parasites, providing relief from itching and irritation. Amitraz acts on mites by interacting with octapamine receptors and inhibiting monoamine oxidase enzyme in mite?s body and thereby results in paralysis and death of mites. Ridd contains specific carrier that enhances the penetrability of Amitraz to provide the best result.

Risk-benefit ratio justifies the use of Ridd in most cases. However, a dog that is treated with amitraz may lick and groom the fur which can cause adverse reactions to the animal. Even though the absorption of any amitraz that is consumed is also at a low rate, poisoning can still occur if a high quantity is ingested. But the offensive smell actually discourages the animal to lick the body until it dries up.

Symptoms of Amitraz Insecticides Poisoning in Dogs:

If your dog has ingested Amitraz, the symptoms will come rather quickly. Symptoms of Amitraz insecticide poisoning in dogs include: Low blood pressure, Low body temperature, Elevated levels of blood glucose, Ataxia, Decreased heart rate, Vomiting, Diarrhea, Seizures, Sedation, Dilated pupils.
Causes of Amitraz Insecticides Poisoning in Dogs:
Amitraz insecticide poisoning in dogs occurs when dogs ingest amitraz from tick collars. Poisoning may also occur by inhalation and when it comes into contact with the skin. In addition to negatively affecting the central nervous system, amitraz poisons the dog by:
1. Alpha-2 ? agnostics cause neurological adverse effects
